Sugar cookie recipe help!!?

im baking sugar cookies and i dont have any vanilla. the recipe calls for 2 cups sugar, so i was wondering if i could but that in half and add 1/2 cup nestle nesquik to it. i know the vanilla just adds flavor. so would this be ok?Sugar cookie recipe help!!?
I would use the regular amount of sugar and just omit the vanilla. You shouldn't change too many things at the same time in a recipe, it makes the results too completely unpredictable.Sugar cookie recipe help!!?
Do you have any rum or something like that in the house? Or another kind of extract? Lemon or almond? Substitute a teaspoon of any of those for the vanilla.

If you watn to go the chocolate route, a melted candy bar in with the butter and sugar.

Don't leave out the flavoring, the cookies will taste like flour, grease and sugar. They'll be bland.
do you have almond, lemon, orange, or other similar flavouring?

Use that instead.

The nestle quick will add things to your recipe that will change the texture of the product.

If you just dont' have anything else, use rum, whiskey, brandy, coffee or something of the like.

good luck!
sounds okay.
