I am looking for a recipe for a christmas german cookie?

The cookie is round and has flaked almonds and lemon juice in it among other things and has a filling of cherry jelly and a glaze on top of powered sugar water and lemon juice ! when finished it is like a sandwich cookieI am looking for a recipe for a christmas german cookie?
DREISPITZE: German jelly nut triangles

This versatile cookies can be made in any shape, traditionally they are round but this modern recipe uses a triangular shape.

Ingredients:

3/4 c butter

1/2 c sugar

2 eggs

2 1/4 oz ground almonds

2 c flour

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1/4 tsp salt

12 oz jam, such as cherry raspberry or apricot

flaked almonds for garnish

Directions:

Beat butter and sugar together on high speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs and continue to beat. Stir together flour, salt, lemon juice and ground nuts, and mix in on slow speed. Chill dough for one half to one hour.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick. Using 2 1/2 inch round cookie cutter, cut rounds of dough and place onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Rounds can be placed close together, even touching. Stir jelly to make it spoonable, and spoon about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp onto each cookie. Fold up three sides of each cookie so that a triangle forms. If you've placed the circles touching, form the triangles so that each row faces in the opposite directon and the cookies won't touch. Pinch each point together so that the jelly doesn't run out when baked. I usually do one last pinch on each corner before putting the cookies in the oven.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes until jelly bubbles and cookies are golden brown. Let cool slightly add lemon glaze.

2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice

3/4c. powdered sugar

water as needed

Whisk together lemon juice and powdered sugar until blended. Lightly dip tops of cookies in glaze then place on wire rack, glaze side up. Garnish with flaked almonds.

    Round Italian Cookie with Hole in the middle. Anyone know the recipe for it?

    I'm looking for a cookie recipe that was made by my Italian grandmother. It was a round cookie with a hole in the middle. It had icing on the top of it. she used to store them in a tin, so they do last a bit. it wasn't as hard as a biscotti, but it was denser than a ';cake cookie';. does anyone know what i'm talking about? I will give the closest recipe 10 points. Thanks so much!Round Italian Cookie with Hole in the middle. Anyone know the recipe for it?
    The cookies are called ';Ginetti'; cookies

    Here is my favorite recipe for them:

    INGREDIENTS:

    10 cups flour

    10 eggs; (with three of the whites set aside)

    1/3 c. anise liqueur

    4 Tbsp. unsalted butter

    1/2 tsp. salt

    Lemon juice

    3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

    PREPARATION:

    Mix together well: flour, eggs, anise, butter and salt, (reserving the three egg whites). Roll the dough into snakes, shape the snakes into rings, and nick the outer rims of the rings with a knife, then put them on a cookie sheet. Bake them in a hot oven at 375 degrees until golden. Remove them and let them cool. In the meantime, whip the reserved egg whites to stiff peaks, then beat in the powdered sugar and lemon juice (to taste) to make the frosting. Brush the ginetti with the frosting. Let them cool. Serve.

    Crust:

    1 1/4 pounds unsalted butter, room temperature

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

    3 extra-large eggs

    3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

    4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    Topping:

    1 pound unsalted butter

    1 cup good honey

    3 cups light brown sugar, packed

    1 teaspoon grated lemon zest

    1 teaspoon grated orange zest

    1/4 cup heavy cream

    2 pounds pecans, coarsely chopped

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    For the crust, beat the butter and granulated sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, until light, approximately 3 minutes. Add the eggs and the vanilla and mix well. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix the dry ingredients into the batter with the mixer on low speed until just combined. Press the dough evenly into an ungreased 18 by 12 by 1-inch baking sheet, making an edge around the outside. It will be very sticky; sprinkle the dough and your hands lightly with flour. Bake for 15 minutes, until the crust is set but not browned. Allow to cool.

    For the topping, combine the butter, honey, brown sugar, and zests in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cook over low heat until the butter is melted, using a wooden spoon to stir. Raise the heat and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Stir in the heavy cream and pecans. Pour over the crust, trying not to get the filling between the crust and the pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the filling is set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold. Cut into bars and serve.

    1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened

Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl if necessary to make sure everything is well blended.

    3.Stir in the remaining cake mix, and M%26amp;Ms with a wooden spoon just until combined and moistened.

    4.Drop cookie dough by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, on the prepared cookie sheets.

    5.Press several additional M%26amp;Ms into each cookie.

    6.Bake one cookie sheet at a time on the middle rack of the oven. Bake 10 to 13 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are golden and the centers are just barely set when lightly touched with your fingertip.

    7.Remove cookie sheet from the oven and cool cookies on the cookie sheet for 1 minute and then transfer the cookies with a thin metal spatula to wire racks to cool completely.

    I'm looking for a recipe that was featured in the Springfield Missouri News Leader a couple of months ago. It was an old family recipe and the cookies were little butter cookies that were about the size of a quarter and they would take two of them and sandwich them together and in the middle put a little bit of melted chocolate. I've looked on the papers website and can't find them but there was a full page spread on this recipe. If you have the recipe or one similar please post it. Thanks.Cookie Recipe???

    Powdered milk

    honey

    any other good sounding stuff

    I don't measure, but your main ingredient is peanut butter, then add a bunch of honey, and some powdered milk. I roll the stuff into balls and freeze it, I suppose you could use a cookie press, just make sure you freeze it and keep it frozen.

    Hope it helps, Goldsacspider.

    yes its optional. good luckMy oatmeal cookie recipe calls for 1-1/2 cups raisins. can I leave them out?
    yes. just omit them! but try adding butterscotch morsels instead. they are sooooooooooooooo good!!!! and most people dont like raisins anyways
    You can leave them out. You could substitute chopped dried dates, prunes, apricots, apples--whatever you like but you don't have to.

    I probably wouldn't add more oats.
    Yes you can leave them out.

    You can also put in anything else you like, chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, or nothing.

    If you add more oats you will get a heavier cookie that may be a bit on the soft side because now you are edging towards the land of porridge.
    yup. usually raisins are optional. you dont need anythings to replace them.

    Peanut Butter Cookie (one of my favorite)

    3/4 cup (170 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature

    1/2 cup (105 grams) light brown sugar

    1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated white sugar

    1 large egg

    1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

    3/4 cup (185 grams) peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

    2 cups (280 grams) all purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/2 cup chopped peanuts or 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

    Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.

    In the bowl of your electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy (about 2 - 3 minutes). Beat in the peanut butter. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat to combine. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the peanut butter mixture and beat until incorporated.

    Cover and chill the dough for about an hour. Then, on a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to about a 1/4 inch thickness. Using a lightly floured 3 inch (7.5 cm) cookie cutter, cut out the cookies. Transfer the cookies to the prepared baking sheet, placing about 2 inches (5 cm) apart. Then, using the end of a toothpick, score the tops of the cookies, making a crisscross pattern. Place the baking sheet, with the cookies, in the refrigerator to firm up for about 10 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven.

    Bake the cookies for about 12 to 14 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned around the edges. Immediately upon removing the cookies from the oven, sprinkle the tops of the cookies with a little granulated sugar. Cool on a wire rack.

    Makes about 2 dozen cookies

    4 large eggs, room temperature

    1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

    1 cup (170 grams) semisweet dark chocolate chips

    1 cup (170 grams) white chocolate chips

    Melt the chocolate and butter in a stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

When you slowly raise the beaters the batter will fall back into the bowl in slow ribbons. Beat in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract. Fold in the dry ingredients to the chocolate batter and mix only until incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the batter until firm, about 30 minutes.

    Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing evenly. With moist fingers, press batter to form 3 1/2 (9 cm) to 4 inch (10 cm) rounds. Bake cookies about 12 - 14 minutes or until the tops of the cookies become dry and cracked, but are still shiny. Do not overbake these cookies.

    Remove from oven and place baking pan on a wire rack to cool. When cookies are firm, remove from baking pan and let completely cool on rack.

    These cookies are best the day they are baked but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days.

    I would google the company name you gave in your question for instruction. If that does not yield results then you are probably safe adding 2 large eggs and 1/2 cup of butter and 1 tsp. of vanilla to your mix.

    Blend well

    Drop in the usual teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees F until done.

    Jane Ashers website is really good. Try there
    Making gingerbread houses are GREAT fun - but very time consuming.

    The link to the site below has a good recipe for the basic gingerbread dough. Basically you make your templates out of cardboard and use them to cut out the house shapes from the gingerbread dough. Gingerbread dough is pretty easy to use and you can roll it in to a ball and roll it out again for each piece of the house.

    If you want to be REALLY clever cut out small squares or circles in the walls for windows. Crush up boiled/hard lollies - different colours if you can and put the crushed lollies (sweets) in the windows BEFORE you cook the gingerbread. Put in the oven to cook. When it cooks the lollies (sweets) melt and formed 'glass stained' windows - very swish!

    The REAL tricky bit is getting the icing to the right consistency to 'glue' it all together (you use the icing NOT super glue!!)

    You then use the icing to 'glue' on all the lollies. You may start off thinking it's all messy - but the icing and lollies can cover up a lot of mistakes!!

    One of the trickiest things is propping up the walls etc while you are assembling - this link says use 'soda cans' (soft drink cans). I also use baked bean tins/jam jars - anything the right size.

    Hope you have a go - it's lots of fun - then you have to put it somewhere where it can be admired before the kids try to demolish and eat it all!!

    Good Luck
    well, look at how your house looks, then buy the gingerbread and make it similar

    What is the recipe for a ';chocolate top'; cookie?

    Here is a picture of the type of cookie I am referring to. http://www.chocolatetops.com/store/images/picts/choclateTops2.jpg

    I cannot find the recipe anywhere online. Am I using the wrong name for the cookie?What is the recipe for a ';chocolate top'; cookie?
    The chocolate top can be achieved by either making or buying cake frosting and applying with a #32 Star tip in a swirl motion with a pipeing bag.

    Spritz Cookies

    Ingredients:

    1 whole large egg

    1 large egg yolk

    2-1/4 cups plus2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    1-1/4 teaspoons baking powder

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter at room temperature

    1 cup confectioners' sugar

    1/4 cup granulated sugar

    2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

    1 teaspoon grated lemon zest

    Prep:

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line several baking sheets with parchment paper, or grease them lightly with vegetable oil. Stir the egg and the yolk together in a cup and set aside. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a small bowl and set aside. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, cream the butter, both sugars, vanilla, and lemon zest together in a medium-size mixing bowl until fluffy, 1 to 1-1/2 minutes. Scrape the bowl with a rubber spatula. Add the flour mixture and continue to mix on medium speed until thoroughly blended, 3 minutes, stopping the mixer once to scrape the bowl. With the mixer on medium-low speed, add the egg mixture and mix until blended, 30 seconds. Stop the mixer once to scrape the bowl. Put the dough into the cookie press and press the cookies out onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving 1 inch between them. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Then lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake until they are firm and lightly golden around the bottom edge. The baking time will vary depending on their shape, but the range will probably be 16 to 22 minutes. Cool the cookies on the baking sheets. If you plan to snack on them the first day, leave the cookies out on the baking sheet or on a plate. After that, place them in an airtight plastic container and store them in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Makes 60-70 cookiesWhat is the recipe for a ';chocolate top'; cookie?
    I think this may be a butter cookie or shortbread cookie with chocolate frosting or melted chocolate on top. Because of all the chocolate, I can't really tell what kind of cookie it is. It might even be a variation of the peanut butter blossom cookies (see recipe below). Really, though, you can top any kind of cookie you like with chocolate, so I would look for a cookie recipe that seems like it would match the cookie underneath the chocolate and then put some slightly melted chocolate (or chocolate frosting) in a pastry bag (or a little zip plastic bag with the corner snipped off) and then decorate your cookies with chocolate to mimic the picture.

    Fudge-Topped Shortbread

    INGREDIENTS

    * 1 cup butter (no substitutes), softened

    * 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

    * 1/4 teaspoon salt

    * 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

    * 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

    * 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

    * 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

    * 1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

    DIRECTIONS

    1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and salt until fluffy. Gradually beat in flour. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 16-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

    2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine condensed milk and chocolate chips. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1-2 minutes or until chips are melted; stir until smooth. Stir in extract. Spread over the shortbread. Sprinkle with almonds and press down. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares.

    Peanut Butter Blossoms

    Ingredients:

    * 48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates

    * 1/2 cup shortening

    * 3/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter or REESE'S Crunchy Peanut Butter

    * 1/3 cup granulated sugar

    * 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar

    * 1 egg

    * 2 tablespoons milk

    * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    * 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    * 1 teaspoon baking soda

    * 1/2 teaspoon salt

    * Granulated sugar

    Directions:

    1. Heat oven to 375掳F. Remove wrappers from chocolates.

    2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.

    3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. About 4 dozen cookies.

    Good luck!

    Chewy chocolate chip cookies

    Ingredients

    1 whole large egg, at room temperature

    1 large egg yolk, at room temperature

    1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

    2 cups flour [see Baker鈥檚 note]

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon extra fine salt

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    3/4 cup [1 1/2 sticks] unsalted butter, melted

    1 cup packed light brown sugar

    1/2 cup white sugar

    2 cups dark-as-you-want-em chocolate chips

    Method

    Heat oven to 325掳. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

    Crack the whole egg into a small dish. Add the egg yolk and the vanilla extract; set aside.

    Set a sifter over a small bowl or rest on a piece of wax or parchment paper. Add the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and sift into the bowl; set aside.

    In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

    Drop cookie dough by the tablespoon measure onto prepared cookie sheets [I keep the measure hot and clean in a tall glass of hot tap water between scoops]. Turn the measured dough over to see which side has the most chips and put that side up. Place any chips that might escape on top. Cookies should be about 2 inches apart. I get 6 cookies on a half-sheet baking pan.

    Bake for 9 minutes. Turn pans back to front and top to bottom and bake another 6 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before sliding parchment with cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

    Store cookies air-tight. To ensure next-day freshness, put a slice of bread in the container with the cookies.

    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

    Baker鈥檚 note: I employ the scoop and sweep method of measuring flour. Mix flour to aerate. Scoop and heap into measuring cup over flour container. With a butter knife, tap the handle of the measure 3 times. Slide the blade evenly across the flour to level it off.

    Millionaire's Shortbread

    Ingredients

    For the shortbread

    2 sticks butter, cut into small pieces, plus more for preparing pans

    2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for preparing pans

    2/3 cup sugar

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    For the caramel

    2 (14-ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk

    2 tablespoons butter

    For the chocolate

    3/4 pound good-quality milk, semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate

    Method

    For the shortbread

    Heat the oven to 350 degrees

    Butter 2 (8-inch) square nonstick pans and coat with flour, tapping off excess. Place the flour, sugar and salt in a food processor and pulse once. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles peas. Press the shortbread mixture into prepared pans and bake until golden brown around the edges, about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

    For the caramel

    In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the condensed milk and 2 tablespoons of butter. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously. Continue stirring over the heat until mixture becomes thick and amber in color, about 15 minutes. Pour the caramel over the cooked shortbread and spread evenly using an offset spatula. Cool to room temperature.

    |

    For the chocolate

    In a glass bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, melt the chocolate. Once chocolate has melted, pour it over the cooled caramel layer. Cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, and then place in the refrigerator to cool completely, allowing chocolate to slightly harden but not get hard. Cut into 2-inch squares and enjoy, or store in an airtight container, at room temperature, or my favorite - keep the Millionaire shortbread refrigerated

    1 16 oz bag mini marshmallows

    3-5 Tablespoons of butter (start with less and add more as needed)

    1/4 cup organic crunchy peanut butter

    2 heaping spoonfuls of ground flax seed

    4-5 cups Rice Crispies

    4-5 cups Multi-Grain Cheerios

    Melt most of the butter over medium heat, then add marshmallows. Coat marshmallows with butter to avoid burning, and stir frequently. When the marshmallows are pretty much completely melted, add the peanut butter and flax seed and stir well. You may need to add more butter (this might be different if you use commercial peanut butter like Jiff since it has a lot of extra oil and fat in it). Pour the melted mixture over cereal in a large bowl. Add more cereal until you have the texture you want. Pour and shape into baking pans, let cool, then cut.

    Marshmallow Treats

    Ingredients-

    1/4 cup butter

    4 cups miniature marshmallows

    5 cups crisp rice cereal

    Preparation-

    Melt margarine in large sauce pan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well-blended. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

    Add cereal. Stir until well coated.

    Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly and firmly in buttered 13 x 9 inch pan. Cut into 2 x 2 inch squares when cool.
    I don't really like the taste of Rice Krispie Treats, so instead of using that cereal, I use Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles. The colors in the Fruity Pebbles are very pretty for parties and they taste better than just the plain cereal ones.

    You didn't say how old your son was, but I'd like to offer this for you. Make a couple of your son's favorite cookies, or a cake and take them to your local children's hospital ward or Ronald McDonald House for their Christmas party with the donation made in memory of your son. Helping other children has always helped me remember that there are other families in the same situation or are much worse off.

    I've never lost a child, but my son was was born with multiple birth defects that required surgery and numerous hospital stays. Some of the kids that were in the same ward are now dead from cancer. At least my son had a correctable condition and is still alive and ready to celebrate his 34th birthday. It was a very humbling experience for me and I never forget about the children!!

    What you are describing is known in my family as ';Terrassen'; = balconies), since one stacks one on top of the other. But my Mom never covers them with the icing, and uses different sizes, which is why my aunts family uses the term ';Pyramiden'; (=pyramids) for them. My roommate started her christmas baking a while ago, and we got to discussing ';Pl盲tzchen';-names, realizing her family uses a completely different name for those kind of cookies (Himmelsleitern= steps to heaven), and our third roomates family again has a different name for them.

    It might also be the ';Linzer Pl盲tzchen'; someone else mentioned, but I have never seen them with icing on top anywhere. I am looking for a recipe for a german cookie ?

    Oatmeal and Raisin Spice Cookie Bars:

    30 min 15 min prep

    30 servings

    30 bars

    1/2 cup soft margarine or butter

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1/3 cup white sugar

    1 egg

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    3/4 cup all-purpose flour

    1/4 teaspoon baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    1/4 teaspoon allspice

    1/4 teaspoon ginger

    1 1/2 cups rolled oats

    3/4 cup raisins

    1. Brush a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with oil, then line with parchment paper or foil, pressing paper down firmly so it stays. Leave a slight overhang of paper.

    2. In mixing bowl cream the margarine or butter until light. Add the sugars and beat until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and mix in well.

    3. In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice and ginger. Mix into the batter, then stir in the oatmeal and raisins.

    4. Press dough evenly into the lined baking pan. (This is the messy part.) The dough will be a bit sticky and there will seem to be almost not enough to fill the pan.

    5. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until golden. Bake a bit less for chewier bars, a bit more for crispy bars.

    6. Let cool for 3 or 4 minutes, then lift gently out of the pan. Cool a couple more minutes, cut into squares, then cool fully.

    well, I could be wrong, but since cookies contain flour and raw eggs in the mix, you really have to cook any kind of cookie. if you are looking for a shortcut, either buy the pillsbury tube of cookies, break and bake, or just buy them from a bakery and pass of as your own--who's to know, right?

    OREO TRUFFLES

    1 Package Oreo cookies, Finely Crushed

    1 (8oz.) Package Whipped Cream Cheese

    1 Pkg Wilton鈥檚 Dark Chocolate pieces (Buy at Any Craft Store)

    1 Pkg Wilton鈥檚 White Chocolate Pieces, or any color (optional)

    1. Crush the Oreo cookies in food processor or blender.

    2. Mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the whipped cream cheese until it forms a solid ball. (Blends best if you use your hand instead of a spoon).

    3. Form the mixture into 1 inch balls, or any size you like.

    4. Put the balls into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.

    5. Melt the entire bag of Wilton鈥檚 chocolate either in a double boiler or the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Do not add butter to the chocolate when melting.

    6. Roll the oreo balls in the chocolate and place on rack to dry. Work quickly, one ball at a time, because the chocolate hardens fast! Re-melting the chocolate may be necessary about halfway through.

    7. Decorate the tops with the second color. To decorate the truffles with the second color, you can use a Ziploc freezer bag as a small pastry bag. Put the melted chocolate in the Ziploc bag. Cut the corner of the bag and use the bag to pipe the second color on top of the truffles.

    NOTES:

    鈥?Wilton鈥檚 also makes tools for handling the dipping and rolling of the truffles. You can also use a meat fork (two prongs). It is best not to use a regular fork.

    鈥?Instead of using a second color as decoration, you can reserve some of the Oreo crumbs in which to roll the truffles. Alternatively, you could roll the truffles in cocoa powder.
