Let me describe what I remember from the grandmother. The base of the cookies was fried--the dough was rolled out, cut into narrow strips then formed to make a spiral disk and fried. Then it was filled with grape jam, crushed walnuts and cinnamon. Does this sound familiar to anyone???I am looking for an old Italian cookie recipe. Can anyone help?
