Chocolate chip cookie Recipe?

I want to make some soft chocolate chip cookies for my boyfriend for christmas. I would like them to stay soft after they have sat for a day. I have had some before that were soft for days but I'm not sure what they put in them to keep them that way. Anyway, any good recipes would be very much appreciated. Thanks!Chocolate chip cookie Recipe?

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 375掳.

2.Mix flour with baking soda in a bowl and set aside.

3.In a large bowl, combine butter, sugars and pudding mix.

4.Beat until smooth and creamy.

5.Beat in eggs and vanilla; gradually add flour mixture.

6.Stir in chips and nuts.

7.Roll into balls and flatten slightly or drop by teaspoon full on a non greased cookie sheet.

8.Bake at 375掳 for 8-10 minutes.

9.Note: You may use instant chocolate pudding instead of vanilla pudding for a chocolate chocolate chip cookie.
Underbaking them helps cookies stay soft. Plus, using a combination of butter and shortening plus extra fat (like an extra egg yolk) and brown sugar helps. I've tried this recipe before (it was published here in the food section):

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1 egg yolk

2 cups semisweet chocolate

chips

1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.

2. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.

4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

I know they arent chocolate chip, but they are soo chocolatey, and easy to make! they stay chewy for a long time, and if you dont like the idea of vinegar in your cookies, you can make it without. But you should try it! It just makes the cookie taste even more chocolatey! If you really only want a chocolate chip recipe, use this:

Just take out the cherry and or almond accordingly. They arent as good, but they are still chewy and delicious.

i had heard that if you put a piece of bread in the jar with the cookies it will keep them moist as well.
