Cookie recipe?!?

I've got a chocolate chip cookie recipe and one of the ingredients is brown sugar. So, i was asking is there anyhting that could replace the brown sugar because it isn't available in my area.Cookie recipe?!?

That's weird that brown sugar isn't available. Are you sure you were looking in the right place? It is usually located at the grocery store next to the powdered sugar. There is nothing that will replace it in cookies that I know of.
Brown sugar is usually used to provide a chewier cookie, so depending on the ratio of white to brown sugar in the recipe results in a crispier or chewier cookie. You could add molasses since that's what brown sugar essentially is...try:

Thats bizarre that brown sugar is not available. I know that Splenda has a brown sugar replacement.Good luck.
