My grandmas old cookie recipe .....she called them SNOWBALLS.Do you know it? please read description.?

My grandma use to make cookies, the ingredients were coconut, mini marshmellows and grahm crackers.


Not positive about the grahm crackers. They were a rolled up in a ball.





They may not have been baked since the marshmellows were un melted.


I dont know what all held them together. Have you ever made something or know a recipe. I googled it online and have been looking for years.My grandmas old cookie recipe .....she called them SNOWBALLS.Do you know it? please read description.?

Snow Ball Cookies


1 cup butter


1/2 cup 10x sugar (confectioner's)


1 tbsp vanilla extract


1 tsp almond extract


1/2 cup finely chopped nuts


2 to 2 1/2 cups flour


1 tsp salt


Mix in all ingredients.


Roll into Ball shapes.


Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.


Immediately roll in powdered sugar.

Ingredients








2 cups sweetened flaked coconut (4 oz)


1 cup finely grated unsweetened coconut (3 oz)


2/3 cup granulated sugar


1/4 teaspoon salt


2 large egg whites


2 teaspoons water


30 (1/2-inch) squares fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened; from a 3 and


1/2-ounce bar)


About 1/2 cup confectioners sugar


Special equipment: parchment paper





Directions





1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.





2. Pulse sweetened and unsweetened coconuts, granulated sugar, and salt together in a food processor until flaked coconut is finely chopped. Add whites and water and pulse until mixture is moistened and holds together when squeezed.





3. Roll level tablespoons of coconut mixture into balls with wet hands (you'll need to rinse your hands every 3 or 4 balls). Make an indentation in center of each ball and insert a piece of chocolate, then pinch hole closed and reroll into a ball. Arrange balls 1 inch apart on a parchment-lined large baking sheet.





4. Bake macaroons in middle of oven until bottoms are golden and balls are puffed but still white, 13 to 15 minutes. Slide macaroons on parchment to a rack to cool completely, then peel off paper.





5. Dust macaroons lightly with confectioners sugar just before serving.





Cooks' note: Macaroons keep in an airtight container at room temperature 1 week.

1 cup - Butter or Margarine (softened)


4 tbsp - Water


1 tsp - Vanilla Extract


6 tbsp - Cocoa Powder


1 陆 cup - Granulated Sugar


4 cups - Quick-Cooking Oats


Powdered Sugar


Flaked Coconut


Chopped Nuts


Method:


Cream butter with water and vanilla.


Add sugar, cocoa, and oatmeal, mix well.


Roll into 1'; balls.


Add more water if necessary to make the dough stick together.


Divide the balls in half.


Roll half the balls in confectioners' sugar and coconut, then roll the other half in the chopped nuts.


Refrigerate until serving.

Aunt Betz Cookies





Original recipe yield: 2 dozen plus.

INGREDIENTS:


2 eggs


1 cup white sugar


3/4 cup butter


2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs


2 cups miniature marshmallows


12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips


3 tablespoons peanut butter


1/2 cup chopped walnuts


1/2 cup shredded coconut

DIRECTIONS:


Beat eggs. Combine eggs, sugar, and butter or margarine in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and let cook on low for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off heat. Add the crumbs, marshmallows and coconut.


Spread mixture into a lightly buttered 9x13 inch dish.


Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together and spread over the top of the bars. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into small squares to serve.
Google under no-bake cookies. Several variations. Your huntis nearly over. Now I must go back to my pickles.

Old fashioned graham cracker candy recipe.


INGREDIENTS:





* 2 cups sugar


* 1 stick butter or margarine (4 ounces)


* 1/2 cup evaporated milk


* 2 cups graham cracker crumbs


* 1 cup flaked coconut


* 20 marshmallows





PREPARATION:


Combine sugar, butter, and milk; boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add graham cracker crumbs, coconut and marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows melt and pour into a large, buttered baking pan. When cool, cut into squares. Or, drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and let cool until firm.
